We collect: (a) Account data — name, email address, and password (hashed) when you register; (b) Usage data — pages visited, features used, and session durations to improve the product; (c) Content data — tasks, messages, files, and other content you create within the platform; (d) Device data — browser type, OS, IP address, and device identifiers for security and analytics; (e) Payment data — processed exclusively by Stripe; we store only billing status and last-4 card digits.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to: provide and improve the Service; send transactional emails (account creation, password reset, task notifications); send product update emails with your consent; display analytics and usage summaries within your account; detect and prevent fraud and abuse; comply with legal obligations.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: trusted sub-processors necessary to deliver the Service (see list below); legal authorities when required by law; acquirers in the event of a merger or acquisition, with prior notice to you.
4. Sub-processors
Key sub-processors include: Amazon Web Services (infrastructure and file storage); Stripe (payment processing); OpenAI (AI features — only workspace-level context is shared, never identifiable personal data); Firebase (push notifications); Sentry (error monitoring, anonymized). 6. Data Retention
Active account data is retained for the lifetime of your account. On account deletion, your data is permanently purged within 30 days. Backups are rotated within 90 days. Anonymized aggregate analytics may be retained indefinitely.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to: access a copy of your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; object to processing for marketing purposes; data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@taskerwork.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS 1.2+ for all data in transit, AES-256 encryption for data at rest (files), bcrypt password hashing, JWT-based authentication with short expiry windows, and regular security reviews. We follow OWASP best practices and conduct periodic penetration tests.
9. International Transfers
Your data is primarily processed in the United States. If you are located in the EU/EEA, transfers are made under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as authorized by the European Commission. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@taskerwork.com and we will promptly delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
